The course provides lots of opportunities for students to share their experiences and ask questions. I always looked forward to the bird of the day posts and the zoom meetings. Mr. Alons is a great teacher who gave me a lot of insightful knowledge and feedback throughout the course. I greatly recommend this course to anyone interested!

This class has greatly increased my interest in birds, and I highly recommend this class to any aspiring birders.

Posted by Caleb Carter on 07/10/2026I learned a ton of new things about birds and how to document them. I found many cool birds while I was bird watching. The class was challenging but in a good way. Plus, Mr. Alons is really awesome! He knows all kinds of birds and is a great teacher.

Posted by Sawyer Black on 06/09/2023I love this class so much! It's very fun to share my checklists with the class. The teacher always answers my questions and gives a lot of information. He gives me much more interest in birds than I have ever had. I really like the class because of all the things he does. Even though I had to wake up early on Fridays because I was on a different time line, I was always very excited to join on zoom. It taught me a lot about birdwatching. Every day I woke up and checked the site and there was a lesson for me. I do recommend this class to anyone who is interested in birding.

I have no complaints except with the site itself which is a little complicated at time but that might just be my computer because my classmates didn't have any trouble with it. I learned so much with this class and it was a 10/10 experience, definitely one of my favorite classes I've taken. Really the amount of time this class takes is up to you and how much effort you want to put into it, but it is not hard to work around a schedule at all. This class definitely made me even more interested in birds, and I think any kind of student who is interested in birding would do well here. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get into or is into birding, or if you want to learn birds for photography reasons. This is a great subject made even better with a great class!!

But however it was kind of hard to keep track of all the American bird species because i live in Germany. But I still learned a lot about both American and German birds. I would highly recommend this class if you or your child is interested in birds.
